You know what day it is...

I tried putting a fork in the week, but it came out all red, so the week must not be done yet.

First of it's  John Prine Wednsday! )

and now, the horriblescope )

The local news is running bits on birds causing trouble with power service.  Yesterdays was herons crapping in 3 foot streamers that short out the power lines in Portland.  Today's was a nest of parrots on a transformer in Dallas.  I guess since the new minor leauge baseball teams is called "The WV Power", someone decided to start covering power company related stories.  It's the only angle I could find anyway.  The Lineman's Rodeo is coming up, maybe they can send a crew to cover that.

Yesterday at work I was left alone long enough for a full day of maintenance.  I finished up the Wurtland KY node, I think today I'll work up in the county, if I'm left alone.  The parts to fix my truck came in, and I dropped them off at the garage yesterday, hopefully I'll be back in my truck tomorrow or even today.  Wheee!!!!

There's a lull in activities here for a while, unless a surprise should happen to come up, my weekends are clear until the Vandalia Gathering on Memorial Day weekend.  That's followed by the Appalachain Uprising, and a trip to New Orleans for "Sharkycon"

That's about it for this morning, and actually I will be going East bound and Down on my morning commute, and in a Diesel truck .  Hmmmm  I'm not hauling a load of beer, or a pregnant Elephant though.

My truck is back!  I did notice some hydraulic fluid leaking from around the lower controls.  I'll keep an eye on it and see if it continues.  Otherwise work wasn't that bad today.  We're going to launch VoIP sometime in the next couple of months.

and now for this....Read more... )
