Put a fork in today, cause it's done!
Jul. 7th, 2004 08:17 pmWork today wasn't too bad, I spent the day marking and locating underground cable. I came home to find that for some reason my mail wasn't picked up today, so it was off to town to drop off my house payment. While there I had dinner at the China Wok, then picked up a powerball ticket for this evenings drawing.
I read a few more stories from "The Guide to Haunted West Virginia". With my three weeks vacation next year, I might take a few excursions to some of the locations., or maybe not. Who knows what kind of mischief I'll get into with 15 days off :).
This morning I was listening to Lightfoot's "Canadian Railroad Trilogy", and actually thought I didn't do too bad singing along. I don't think I'll be headlining Carnegie Hall anytime soon, but who cares. Besides the chances of me nailing the vocals are better than me being able to play the rhythm part. Youch!!
I hope Lightfoot is able to tour again, I really enjoyed seeing him when he was at the Paramount a few years ago. He wasn't much of a showman but I didn't leave the show wishing he'd played any certain song, plus that old Martin of his was sounding GOOD!
here's a couple of nuggets I snagged from
