Weekend recap
Aug. 8th, 2004 10:58 amYesterday
puck_nut, Dale, and myself went on a road trip to the Three Rivers Avian Center to look at the birdies. After seeing downtown Hinton, and some of the most beautiful scenery in WV, we went to the Hinton Dairy Queen for some of their legendary Hot Dogs, and of course ICE CREAM!!!!!!, unfortunately everyone else in the world had the same idea so it was Subway for lunch. After checking out the bluestone campgrounds and saying "Dam" a few times at the sight of the Bluestone Dam, it was off to the Avian Center. Luckily Dee has a very limited edition mustang with 4WD so the drive up to the center was possible. The staff there is very friendly, and they do really great work on a very limited budget. After getting back on the paved road we looked at
and then took the scenic route back to Rainelle for a stop at Dairy Queen, then it was on The Midland Trail for the trip back to St. Albans. WV state law requires anyone driving on the Midland Trail to stop at Hawks nest for some

After getting back to St. Albans it was back to the Ranch for me. This morning I made a Bob Evans/Walmart Run and was feeling silly so I got Rocky a Rottwieler sized Rawhide bone, here are the

Today's agenda is laundry dishes and working on finishing up the backyard project as soon as the folks make it down. and of course watching the Brickyard today! Ward Burton is on the front row, which means that he might at least get an interview.
