I did manage to sleep some last night, but thanks to the Mtn Dew and Snicker's bar I had for dinner last night, I was still a bit wired. Luckily the power company was able to get their work done fairly fast otherwise we would have be out until probably midnight. The big holdup was getting a 65 foot pole from Ashland to Proctorville at peak traffic time, with a car accident, county fair traffic and construction thrown in on top of all that.

The guy driving the dump truck said that he didn't realize that his bed was up until he hit the lines. Sheesh, at least noone was hurt, he was saying it felt like his truck was about to flip. That would have added to the mess.

In better news, I found out that my copy of the new Jimmy Buffett CD is in Lexington KY, on the way to The Ranch. I also got an email that one of my "Where's George" dollars was turned in, it was entered in Garrison, KY, about 21 miles from here. That was the first time someone's taken the time to enter the #s for one of my dollars. I also got a $9 tip from a customer yesterday, not bad for a 20 minute service call.

Here's my horriblescope for today ). That horriblescope is true most days, I was hoping for a quiet evening where I could get a haircut and pick up a pool liner. Maybe things will pan out.

As you can tell by the time this is being posted, today went a lot better than yesterday. I started off on service in Greenup, I decided to climb rather than drag a ladder up on the hill. It wasn't too bad, which is a good thing, since I had to climb back down and get something I dropped. I ended up dragging a ladder up for the third trip up the pole, there was a spot in the line that lightning had damaged. I spliced it out and was on my merry way to a few more calls and then maintenance.

I made a Walmart Run this evening, and got my powerball ticket for tomorrow night, so I'm pretty much set!
