My adventure today started at about 6:30. I was making pretty good time until I got to Charleston. Then it was on Rt 79 northbound, whee. As far as wildlife sightings go, I saw a wild turkey and a few deer. I made it to the trade off point at the BP service station at about 11. The BP has improved a bit since the last trip up, they now have an indoor restroom!

Then it was back, in a fairly ancient truck. I was bopping along quite nicely, until I got to where they were painting the highway and had a lane closed. I made it to Flatwoods WV at about 12:30, had lunch at Shoneys, then when I got ready to get in the truck, the key they gave me wouldn't open the driver's side door. Luckily, I tried the passenger's door and the key worked. I took a few minutes to check the bins on the truck to see if they'd left anything, nothing in the bins, not even a spork!

I took a few minutes to check out the Flatwoods Outlet Mall, and hit 79 South. I made it back to the shop at around 4, and got in the other spare bucket truck, then headed home. I made the mistake of driving through Ashland. I had to sit thru three red lights at the top of "Pizza Dancer Hill". Little Caesars had two, very bad dancers I might add, to Domino's one pizza dancer, she wasn't really dancing, more like bouncing up and down holding a sign.

This post briefly interrupted for a coffee break with [livejournal.com profile] sharkbait

That's about all for now, I've got a three day weekend, and dammit I'm gonna make the most of it!

Whee!!!
