One of the installers was in the ER this morning with a possible kidneystone, so one of the troubleshooters was pulled to handle his work orders. I was on customer service today, the first call wasn't too bad, then it was off a backroad for a call which took a while, but I removed some splitters that weren't being used for anything and the problem was solved, next it was to south point for a digital problem, I was working on the problem when I look out the window and see the customer leave. I check to see if there was anyone in the house and there wasn't. I check everything I could outside, and tell dispatch what happened and that I'm going to take lunch and if they aren't back I would tag the door and go. They never did show up, so I went on to another call, another digital problem, I trade out the box and when I got to the truck to get the paperwork the guy looks at the box and decides that it looked used and asks me if it's new, I tell him that to the best of my knowledge it was. he insisted that I put another box in because that one looked used to him. I get another box (which was probably used) and change some fittings and I was on my way. The guy there had a mullet which I found amusing, and the box reeked of cheap perfume and stale cigarette smoke. I had to put the box in one of the bins of my truck due to the aroma.
Then it was off to Spring Valley for a modem call, it ended up being the wrong value tap on the distribution, it took me longer to get my truck maneuvered around than it did to fix the problem. That was my last call for the day, it was off to do maintenance for the remainder of the day. I checked on a couple of things and then It was back to the ranch.
There was some confusion at work over the scheduling of the bloodwork for the wellness program. So it's being rescheduled.
Nothing much else, just guitar tonight, and Starbucks on the way!
