Friday morning wrap up....

Yesterday was spent ( stripping )

Guitar class was fun, we worked on a tune called "Rachael", that I picked up on in an unusually short amount of time, I just need to work on the speed of it, but since I don't have class for a couple of weeks that shouldn't be a problem.

I'm going to have to take WMUL off of my car stereo, since the guy who produced "Grateful Thursday" graduated. Last night while driving back from guitar class, I heard the show that replaced it. Two college girlswere playing their picks for "hottest singers", which included Rod Stewart, who they didn't think was hot, but it was for their mothers. They then spent 5 minutes talking about which hairstyle they prefer on Lenny Kravitz. The station is like a train wreck. a really bad train wreck. WMUL also ran a commercial that said they are the universal source for Marshall Sports, No Shit Sherlock! I wasn't expecting them to be the source for WVU Sports! On the topic for MU sports... I heard a commercial for their homecoming, where the alumni invite people to "celebrate their victory over UAB". Ahem, the game is two weeks off, isn't that putting the cart way before the horse. The Herd might be traumatized after The Hokies have their way with them, or MU might pull off the upset of the century. Who knows until the game is over? That's why they play the games.




Post work activites this evening will be cleaning up the kitchen, scrubbing beer bottles, and otherwise getting ready to make the pumpkin ale. It looks like it's going to make "Barefoot Contessa" look like "Semi-homemade", since I'm not using canned pumpkins. It will take more work, but on the plus side, I won't have to buy any roast pumpkin seeds for a while.

Work today was fairly hectic, I was on service calls most of the day, with the exception of helping the construction crew with an install at the new Toyota City, I mean dealership. The place is unreal, there's a museum, a diner, and in the works is a childrens play area, and a shark tank. They've also got some cars they'll sell ya.

I picked up a reconnect and a disconnect this evening, and was almost sent to Greenup to help an installer finish up, but he said he would of had them finished by the time I made it down there anyway, so I was able to join sharkbait, Jenny, Tanner, and Jenny's frind Dee Dee for dinner at China Wok. I'll take good food and better company over 2 hours of easy OT anyday.

Right now I'm having a beer and watching The Pens struggle against the Carolina Hurricanes. The 'canes do have a John Deere Green Zamboni, that's kinda cool!

WTF?! The Pengs got a goal and there wasn't a Langism? sheesh.... maybe they aren't letting him drink up in the broadcast booth on the road.
