Kind of a lazy start to the day here, I got up around 6:30 or so, went to Bob Evans for breakfast had the roast beef hash with a side of grits. I sat around drinking coffee for about 20 minutes after I finished.

Now I'm fixing more coffee and listening to the Symphonic Yes show from the living room. "Ritual" is such a great song, I haven't upgraded my copy of"Tales from Topographic Oceans" from Album to CD yet, so I have to rely on my DVD version of it (also there's some eye candy in the orchestra, that cellist is pretty hot, but fear not, I'm not planning on moving to Amsterdam, and becoming a symphony orchestra groupie anytime soon)

The rasberry/wheat ale is in the fermenter, fermentation hasn't really started yet, but I'm expecting to hear the gurgling start anytime now. It will probably be just a tad under 6% alch. I'm curious to see how it turns out. I thought it needed a tad more rasberries during the prefermentation taste test, but we shall see.

On the agenda today is typical sunday stuff, laundry dishes, maybe some more yardwork. I also need to venture out and get a birthday card for my brother sometime, but I think that requires a target run. They have better cards!

That's about all for this morning, time to go do some stuff.

I managed to get quite a bit done today after all, I was going to cut down a multaflora rose that is taking over the corned of the house, but saw a birds nest in it, so I decided to wait until the eggs hatch and the young are off the nest. I trimmed up the shrubbery at the door to the hallowed halls of drunken extreme kilted pool, otherwise known as my garage. I also cleaned up around the swimming pool. eliminated a family in "The Godfather", also blowing up part of a compound (with a worn out controller even).

For an on call weekend there was a lot of beer involved. I brewed up the rasberry ale last night, now it's happily gurgling away, and I bottled the unnamed red ale today, setting aside a couple of noncarbonated ones for [livejournal.com profile] puck_nut. This batch should be ready for the Buffett trip, and the rasberry should be all set to drink upon returning. Can't beat that!

On the agenda for the next week is some cleaning, weedeating, and some--- GASP--- Guitar Practice!! I shoulda known what I was in for when I took a song in for Robin to transcribe, they always end up being fairly brutal, and "Willin" is no exception. Egads the chords at the intro are tricky!

and now a pic of me that's not for the easily scared.... It's 80s Hair Phil with Kung Fu grip! )
