First off congrats going out to [livejournal.com profile] sharkbait's daughter on her graduation this evening, and the greatest commencement speech ever!

Before I recap the day, here's another sneak preview of the new Joe Bonamassa CD. a Killer song called "Askin Around For You". Any fan of bluesy vocals/guitar will enjoy this or I'll uhh do something way out of line.

I was going to be on maintenance, but ended up running a generator due to a power outage, then had to help Construction with a job of splicing, then it was on service for the remainder of the day. I dodged the bullet and didn't end up in Greenup so I got home at a normal time.

After the commencement we hit "Ruby Tuesday" and for some reason my beer tasted "funny" , so I stuck with coke. As soon as the nighttime cold/sinus Alka Seltzer kicks in I'm off to bed so I can get up and head to Charleston for the Vandalia Gathering tomorrow, where I'm going to meet up with [livejournal.com profile] sharktiger71 Look for plenty of pics, maybe the guy with the pet possum will be there again this year

Your Personality Is Like Acid

A bit wacky, you're very difficult to predict.
One moment you're in your own little happy universe...
And the next, you're on a bad trip to your own personal hell!

You Belong in 1959

If you scored...

1950 - 1959: You're fun loving, romantic, and more than a little innocent. See you at the drive in!

1960 - 1969: You are a free spirit with a huge heart. Love, peace, and happiness rule - oh, and drugs too.

1970 - 1979: Bold and brash, you take life by the horns. Whether you're partying or protesting, you give it your all!

1980 - 1989: Wild, over the top, and just a little bit cheesy. You're colorful at night - and successful during the day.

1990 - 1999: With you anything goes! You're grunge one day, ghetto fabulous the next. It's all good!

All in all a pretty good day today, I stopped off at Bob Evans for breakfast before heading out, I hit the Capitol Complex at about 11 or so, I had every intention of taking my guitar to the jam tent, but my back/shoulder are bothering me this weekend, so after an attempt of lugging it out of the garage I gave up. Maybe next year.*mental note to shop for padded lightweight case*. It didn't take long to track down [livejournal.com profile] sharktiger71 and we started checking out the vendors. There wasn't a line at the Greek Orthodox Church, so I made a gyro stop, great as always! We checked out some of the vendors, a smokin banjo contest, the senior fiddle contest and part of the junior fiddle contest, and various jam sessions going on around the complex. The contestants in the junior division fiddle contest were great. I picked up some Strawberry Jalepeno Jelly, and some Jalepeno Pepper Jelly, gave [livejournal.com profile] sharktiger71, her birthday/Christmas presents (about 6 months late), then hit the road back to The County.

Big Ol Thanks go out to [livejournal.com profile] sharkbait for telling me about Famous Dave's BBQ, great food! You haven't steered me wrong yet! The Devil Spit sauce rules!

I bought some pool chemicals, saw the hot tub I'm getting when I hit the lottery again, then bought some tickets and headed home.

I'll resize and post the pics I took tomorrow, I'm fading fast so it's off to bed for me
