Feat Friday!

Hey bella_cheval, I heard a new song by Queensryche on Rock 105 this morning. They really are the home for WVs best rock it's just they only play the new songs once or twice and at 5 AM! I liked the song, I had to look it up because DJs never tell you what new songs are anymore, but if the play something like "Freebird", they make it a point to tell you the name of the song and the artist. errr my train of thought derailed, the new Queensryche tune is called "The Hands" and is off "Operation Mindcrime Part 2".

Looks like the stage is set for the Stanley Cup finals, I'm kinda torn between teams, being an East Coast Groovy, I feel drawn to NC, but on the other hand, one of Edmonton's coaching staff used to coach the Blizzard. Hmmmm I'll have to really ponder this one.....

A new track from Joe Bonamassa has been unleashed upon the world! Damn Joe, Have just a little mercy on us will ya? So Many Roads I think I need a smoke after hearing that...

I dodged the bullet at work today, The GM was dressed for a rideout today, but had a meeting so he had to stay close to the office. I was on service calls today in Boyd County a long way from the office so someone else got stuck with him. I don't have the room in my truck for the stuff that actually helps me do my job, much less about 6 foot 2 inches of motivated deadweight.

But dammit my shift is over and I'm on vacation...

Speaking of vacation, I signed up for my remaining vacation days, since today was the deadline to sign up for them before they are assigned. Hopefully there will be a hockey game or two that week otherwise I'll have to see about changing them around, I've already heard that Nov and Dec are pretty much booked solid. Hopefully there will be plenty of Friday Evening/Saturday games this year, or better yet, my powerball numbers will show up this weekend and I'll be watching from a luxury box.

I just got distracted by the 1980s version of "Flash Gordon", man, what a blast from the past. It was a bit on the cheesy side, but it's hard to top a movie with a soundtrack by Queen and Brian Blessed as a hawkman "Who wants to live forever? DIVEEEEEEEE"

Now I've got Symphonic Yes playing while I get the kitchen ready for Jello Shot Saturday! Woohooo.

Oh yeah!!!!

I got some coupons from Speedway today, including one for 150 bonus points for just showing up, one for 1000 bonus points for buying 2 sandwiches, and one for a free sandwich with the purchase of a coffee or a fountain drink.
