because I don't have anything else to do this morning....

Step 1: Put your music player of choice on random.
Step 2: Post the first line from the first 25 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing the song.
Step 3: Post and let everyone you know guess what song and artist the lines come from.
Step 4: Strike out the songs when someone guesses correctly.

First off a laurel and hearty handshake goes out to [livejournal.com profile] thejoshuatree13.

I actually got to do maintenance at work today! I did get two minor service calls, and was on the way home, but due to a traffic snarl on the blue bridge, I had to cut through Ironton and cross "The Scary Bridge", and made it home around 5 or so. I was going to venture out, but I have leftover pizza, a few beers, and some stuff to do here, so I opted to crank up some bluegrass, eat some leftover pizza, have a beer and get some stuff done.

Speaking of bluegrass, Steve Martin talked about how happy an instrument the banjo is, and I agree, but damn, there's some really dark stuff in bluegrass.

This is an old English song that Ralph Stanley recorded (The guy who sang "Oh Death" on "Oh Brother Where Art Thou?") called Little Mathie Grove  )

is that a feel good song or what?

Still nothing for sure about the Christmas Jam lineup, but there are some interesting rumors going around. I'm hoping that Derek Trucks will be there, and I really enjoyed Marty Stuart's performance last year, maybe he'll repeat. Of course there's a rumor that a famous 70s rock star might come down from Cincinnati to Come Alive for the Christmas Jam.

I'd better run, I just realized that I'm out of coffee for tomorrow!! EEEKSSS

Yes, I listen to REM from time to time.

When I went to Walmart, I had the radio on Magic 97.9 and "David Allen Boucher" was on. It's a pretty good station, but when I use my late night radio voice mocking Mr Boucher, I keep saying Bobby Boucher. I guess I'm more familiar with The Waterboy, than I am with a late night soft rock DJ.

anyway, before my train of thought go derailed, I was having a Bee Gee's singalong on the way to Walmart. Don't you wish there was a microphone in my blazer so you could hear me singing "How Deep Is Your Love?"
