Wrap up!

The Day of the Christmas Jam itself was kinda slow, I did some shopping and went to dinner and of course stopped off at The Thirsty Monk to quench my thirst. I had a couple of nice Belgain Ales, and an 8 ounce serving of Samichlaus before going over to the Civic Center to get in line. The show was great, I wish George Porter Jr and band would have played longer. Nothing against Ani Difranco, but after seeing William Bell with George Porter Jr, Nigel Hall, and a horn section, Ani didn't really hold my attention. Ed Roland from Collective Soul was a surprise addition. It was cool when the audience joined in on the various "Yeah"s during "Shine". He also performed "The World I know", both very impressive solo acoustic versions. It was great seeing the return of "The Christmas Jam Band", and more of their surprise collaborations with various artists, One surprise was Edwin McCain's version of Aerosmith's "Last Child" with Brad Whitford of Aerosmith. Who would have guessed Edwin Mccain could rock out?

I'm waiting for the show to show up on the torrents.

When I was leaving the Civic Center I saw that there is a coat check room added, which is a nice touch, too bad I didn't see it on the way in, I had a Carharrt artic insulated coat which was a pain to do anything with during the show.


That was the last of my vacation time for the year, I'm on call next week and for the first time in ages I'm free from on call during NYE. Look Out World!
