Let's see where to pick up....
Jul. 25th, 2015 04:20 pmSusan and I headed to Lexington/Frankfort area for the race at KY speedway the day before the race, we stopped off at Six Flags of Booze (Liquor Barn) and stocked up, had dinner at a regional restaurant (Cattleman's Steakhouse) before checking into the hotel. The next day was restocking the provisions (beer and snacks), and heading to KY speedway, unfortunately we didn't get parked at the lot we were at last year. We were parked and had some beer and snacks, along with some more beer before heading to the track. The weather was perfect this year.
After the race I dropped off the rented track scanner and made the long walk back to the parking area and a some garmin trickery to find a way around the traffic snarl and on the way back to Ffort. The next day was a stop at W. Sixth brewing and back to town.
Fairly unventful work week, and on call started..
Friday, nothing
Saturday, I had to go to Greenup to get the hub temperature down to a safe level, after dealing with a major sinus headache all day.
Sunday, around 6 a tree fell and had some people out of service. They were cool with holding off until Monday when two people could work on it so I went back home. A few hours later I realized I brought something back.. Chiggers! All Over my legs.
Monday we got the cable repaired and took care of some other outages and I spent the evening scratching my legs.
Nothing else happened until Wed. night when something was causing problems in the reverse signal which cleared up about the time I got it narrowed down. I got home at 1 AM.
Pretty quiet the rest of the week, I got some sleep and the chigger bites healed up.
Overall not a bad on call week, just the other stuff that happened over the week.
