First off, the high points of the day... Getting cards from
peachestavern and from the journal-less Heather, Getting a newsletter from the good folks at Three Rivers Avian Center, winning $50 in the annual drawing, and getting home.
Work was a drag today, I helped replace a line to a business that didn't need replacing, then it was off to Chesepeake OH to help with a construction project. I got to splice in an amplifier that needed moved. I got shocked once, then had nothing but problems with the connectors. It shouldn't have taken longer than 15 minutes, but It was at least 45 minutes, in the wind and snow. Then it was back to the place I started out. It ended up being something in an amplifier causing the problem at the first call. nothing like checking levels in 20 mph wind gusts.
I did get caught up on all the rumors flying around the office today. Word is they are going to hire someone to help the chief tech. I hope they at least get put in the primary on call rotation. I could handle being on a 5 week rotation instead of the 4 week rotation. It's the least they could do since they'll be passing over two qualified employees.
and to top it off, They didn't have any French Onion Soup at Flyin J. But the Brocolli Cheddar soup is great with some garlic crotons added!
Overall the good things about today outweighed the bad. now if I could only get this cigar to stay lit....
now for some silliness. I always wondered what Johnny Depp movie I would end up in and now I know. At least I know about the
