Pledge week on PBS

captain_philThey are showing the Grateful Dead movie on PBS this evening. You'd think they could find someone at WVs PBS network that knows something about the Grateful Dead to do the pitch for the fundraiser.
On a related note, The Gathering of the Vibes is having a tribute to Jerry Garcia with Peter Rowan and the Dark Star Orchestra, and also an appearance by none other than Donna Jean Godchaux. I thought they actually wanted people to show up. Who can forget all those otherwise great recordings from the early 70s that were ruined by some of her screeching. Gee even their tape archivist sounds clueless on this
In other news... I saw these at Walmart this morning, and to think I thought the Larry the Cable Guy talking cigarette lighter would get old.
I had a semi productive day today, I managed to get the front yard mowed and some weedtrimming done, as well as laundry and some cleaning. There were a couple of snakes out today, along with the usual array of lizards, toads and of course, tree frogs. So far the early count on tree frogs is three around the pool, maybe 4.
