Grateful Friday Wrap Up

Today you could be focused on your family life, PHILLIP. You might be attending to your kids. They might need your help with homework. Or maybe they will need you to drive them to their favorite activity. You might also be concerned with your siblings or your parents. Spend some time connecting with your loved ones in positive ways. You might want to stop by and have dinner with your extended family.

Yesterday work was the usual, I'm riding with someone until my truck is fixed. There is talk of Mandatory OT again because we're behind on maintenance. The GM has the installers schedule with about 10 hours of work a day based on the assumption that some orders will cancel, but they don't so the troubleshooters can't do maintenance because they get assigned disconnects and reconnects. Then if someone's on vacation, they have to pull one of the guys from the already understaffed construction crew to do installs. If the project is a big one they pull one or both of the system techs to work with construction. That puts us behind on sweep. on top of that, if someone is on vacation, that throws everyone behind because they seldom adjust the work orders to take that into account.

We just received word that David Lee Roth (the original frontman for the legendary rock band Van Halen and multi-million selling solo artist) will be in the studio this week recording a bluegrass album! Who knew? Musical master John Jorgenson will be producing the album and Brad Davis will be playing guitar. Brad will be in the studio starting today working on this record. Stay tuned for more details, we’ll bring you updates as we get them.

In local news.. A man was stabbed with an 18 inch sword in Huntington, looks like someone took the phrase "I'm gonna get medievel on your ass" to a new level. What next?

The WV quarter is going to be released today, I'm glad they went with the New River Gorge Bridge design.
