Feb. 5th, 2004 07:41 pmI just read that Cornelius Bumpus passed away, He was a killer sax player, from the Doobie Bros and Steely Dan. He'll be missed. :(
In honor of him, I'm listening to a Steely Dan boot this evening.
I made it back from PA this evening. I'll have to go back and see if I can find my kidneys, I think they are somewhere outside of Pittsburgh.
I was at the Wendy's in Flatwoods WV on the way up and couldn't help thinking how my life would have been different had I been hired at the Weyerhauser mill in Sutton. Due to either divine intervention or a freak coincidence, all the employment records were destroyed in a flood prior to the plant opening. I can't help but thinking I'm better off where I am, and anyone who's ever been up around that area is bound to agree, Besides I'm closer to all my friends around here :)
I arrived at the Fairfield Inn around 5 or so yesterday, I had dinner at a local restaurant named "Dingbats", I pretty much fell off of the South Beach Wagon, but I'll be fine once I go back to phase I for a few days.
I spent the evening watching a show on the History Channel about the plots to kill Abe Lincoln during the civil war.
Breakfast was an omlette at "Eat n Park", then I proceeded to the corporate training center in downtown Butler.
Following training I drove back to the tristate, stopping off again at Flatwoods for fuel and Pork Rinds.
now I'm back at The Ranch and am unwinding by having a Corona and a Villar.
Back to the grind tomorrow.
