brought to you by the phrase "Merry Way"
Mar. 20th, 2004 06:56 pmI managed to get the bucket truck looking good on the outside, thanks to elbow grease and a leafblower, next is to clean out the inside. I also washed the blazer, cleaned it up and out, I got the Grateful Dead sticker and the "Farm Fresh Onions" stickers put on it. I also had lunch with the one and only
puck_nut, and her husband Dale. They were telling the tales from the Indigo Girls show in Columbus on Friday night. I really wanted to go, I like the way they harmonize, not to mention they use 12 strings and Mandolins, but I was in a potentially dangerous situation. Let me set the way back machine back to the first week of Janurary...
A guy hit a pole in Greenup KY. According to him, he was only going 15-20 MPH, but the Chevy S-10 he was driving broke a sizable power pole at the bottom. The power company temporarily fixed it and went on their merry way. Back to the present... Yesterday they had a crew replacing the pole, it had power off for about 30 customers, one of which the power supply the powers our amplifiers for maybe 75 customers. This also happened to be on the day that the UK Wildcats were scheduled to play at 7:10 PM. For those of you who don't know, Wildcat fans are maybe a notch below the English Soccer Fans, and they can get hostile....
But the hardworking AEP Crew had power restored about an hour ahead of schedule, the cable was back on and we all went our merry ways, and UK beat whoever they were playing.
There was much rejoicing!!
I also made a walmart run this morning, so it's been a semi productive day, even for a Saturday. Tomorrow it's off to Charleston to catch a taping of Mountain Stage with
puck_nut, and Monday it's back to the grind.
I'm really looking forward to seeing Eric Johnson at Mtn Stage tomorrow. I'd like to catch him doing an electric show somewhere, just to witness "Cliffs of Dover" live.
I've got a question. I just got some Spam titled "Where does Tony Robbins go for results?". Who is Tony Robbins?
