captain_philLast night's beer judging class was interesting, The beer portion of the class was Amber and Dark Lagers and the following beers were sampled and discussed. Vienna (Dos Equis, Negra Modelo), Oktoberfest/Märzen (Spaten, Paulaner), Munich Dunkel (Spaten), Schwartzbier (Köstrizer), Bock (Paulaner), Helles/Maibock (Ayinger, Fordham), Doppelbock (Paulaner Salvator, Ayinger Celebrator), Eisbock (Kulmbacher Reichelbraü). I'm going to have to study extra hard for the test!
I worked 5 hours today, and am trying to throw a costume together for tonight's bash. If all else fails, I'll wear the ever popular "guy in an Allman Brothers shirt in a werewolf mask with a tray full of kraut balls"
speaking of kraut balls, I'd better get to fryin!
But first, here's a morsel from Youtube. The midnight jam from Merlefest 2001. I thought it was neat that Chris Thile stopped playing so that he could adjust Vassar Clement's microphone stand.
