While at Bob Evans last night I noticed that they aren't bombarding customers with the constant barrage of Christmas songs, there were one or two thrown in the mix here and there, but it wasn't like everywhere else. "My Favorite Things" came over the speakers though and I really got to thinking about the verse about "When the dog bites, when the bee stings..." The last time I was stung by a bee the last thing on my mind was any of my favorite things, It was more like "Damn that hurts".
What's up with the line of "Most wonderful time of the year" with the line "There'll be scary ghost stories". We never told ghost stories around Christmas, but then we had FBI Agents and Squeaky Fromme running amuck across the Greenbrier/Monroe County countryside one Christmas.
The Nov 30th entry of "Got it in Writing" , is an example of what made me become a fan of Steve Morse before I ever even heard him play a single note.
I checked the list of celeb birthdays today and among them are...George "Baby Face" Nelson, who hated cattle as much as he did coppers, Dave Brubeck, Don King, Ulf Eckberg (of Ace of Base, and also various nazi gangs), and Peter Buck of REM...
So in honor ofUlf Eckberg Peter Buck's birthday here's a little
What the Hell, here's a video of Ulf Eckberg's latest *ducks and runs*
Sorry, I couldn't pass that up, and this journal wil be an Ace of Base free zone from now on. I heard enough of them back in the 90s.
in the news, Kiefer Sutherland begins his 48 day sentence
And on the local news.. Someone said do not pass snowplows/salt trucks because the road conditions might be worse in front of them. DUH!!!
nothing much else to report this morning so it's time to get ready for work.
