Guitar geekery alert!
Aug. 21st, 2004 04:44 pmwhile waiting on my oil change this morning it occured to me that I hadn't commented on the Rolling Stone Magazine list of the top 100 guitarists of all time so here goes....
10. Where are Eric Johnson and Steve Morse?
9. Why is Keith Richards ahead of, about 80 guitarists who are better than him
8. Les Paul at #46? without Les Paul at least two of the top 10 wouldn't have had "The Sound". and just imagine if Robert Johnson had a Gibson Les Paul?
7. Joan Jett? Huh?
6. No Alex Lifeson
5. No Steve Vai or Joe Satriani
4. Steve Howe didn't crack the top 50
3. Who are some of these people?
2. Eddie Van Halen at # 70?
1. Kurt Cobain in the top 20? Huh? What?
I really wonder if the person who compiled this list had even seen a guitar
