Yes Indeed, Here we are...
Aug. 7th, 2009 10:39 pmNope, it's not St Alphonso's Pancake Breakfast, but the last Friday of my vacation. Monday was spent sitting around the house drinking coffee, making a mall run, watching the race and doing some geocaching. Tuesday I didn't really do a whole lot of anything. Wednsday I headed to Ffort and Lexington to get some odds and ends.
yourbasketbuddy and I had dinner at Old Chicago pizza, which is always a yummy choice. Thursday after an oil change we headed north to the queen city to hang out with
sharkbait,
sb_pyrat and company at the tailgating for a bit before headed to Mecklenburg Gardens for lunch. I can't say enough good things about this place. The owner welcomed us and seated us, the food and service were great, well worth the trip into downtown Cinci. After lunch it was off to Jungle Jims, where I bought almost $40 worth of Jelly beans, a mozerella roll and a Berliner Weisse. Then it was back to Ffort and today I headed back to The County for a 2 PM Dr.s appt. My Blood Pressure was 120/82, so to celebrate I went to The Waffle House for an omlette and hashbrowns.
I have the stuff ready to fry krautballs in the early morning for the MBO in Huntington. I'm not sure what I'll be judging, but after tomorrow I'll be halfway to my goal of 10 points before retaking the test.
Speaking of beer...

Speaking of beer...
You Are Guinness |
![]() You know beer well, and you'll only drink the best beers in the world. Watered down beers disgust you, as do the people who drink them. When you drink, you tend to become a bit of a know it all - especially about subjects you don't know well. But your friends tolerate your drunken ways, because you introduce them to the best beers around. |
