Mountain Stage
Feb. 15th, 2004 10:12 pmOnce again, the powers that be at WV Public radio put together a great lineup for Mountain Stage.
puck_nut and myself went to catch Robert Earl Keen.
[Bad username or unknown identity: The first act to take the stage was Dixon, Lloyd, Crenshaw and Hoover, a group of four singer/songwriter etcs that play pop/rock songs, kinda like The Rembrandts.]
[Bad username or unknown identity: Up next was Rachael Davis a tiny woman with a big voice. A big and very impressive voice. ]
[Bad username or unknown identity: Following her was a semi local band called "Stella" based in Athens OH, kind of an alternative folksy country band. The were pretty impressive too]
[Bad username or unknown identity: Next was Greg Brown, a very interesting folk singer/songwriter from Iowa. I'd like to catch a full show of him sometime, it was hard to get an opinion of him since he did mainly traditional songs. He does have a very deep voice, which is around the range of mine if I were to start singing]
