Made it to town once again for the Christmas Jam. I got here Wed. night, just in time to get something to eat from Texas Roadhouse. It's like the one in Ashland only with better beer, and the waitresses can dance better. I spent most of the day yesterday geocaching, all within 4 miles of the hotel. I had 7 dnfs, and 15 finds. Putting me within 8 of my goal of hitting 500 by the end of the year. To celebrate having a good day, I went to town and had a beefalo burger and a flight of local beers at Barley's Pizza and Taproom. Great place all around. Then I did some shopping at The Mast General Store, and I also picked up some Cold Mountain Winter Ale from a nearby wine shop (they have had it every year since I've been buying it). SCORE!! I also went to The Thirsty Monk and had a Moylan's Kilt Lifter. I wasn't wearing a kilt but if I'd been wearing one and had a couple of them, chances are I probably would have either lifted it, or not been very careful when sitting.
This morning a guy with tourette's and a cool accent was walking out in front of the hotel. He was yelling about someone fucking someone or something. This hotel isn't bad, but next year I'm going back to Day's Inn. I feel like I'm coming off the pits at Talladega when I leave the hotel in the morning. The Day's Inn is also closer to downtown, always a good thing
Today is "before the jam, lend a hand" I'm looking forward to that. Last year Warren told me I needed to put a coat on. One of the highlight's of my life
look for more later.
