Time to recover from the road trip, pack away the seashell bra, grass skirt, return the unsmoked cigars to the humidor, put the porn movies back in their hiding place, do damage assessment from eating a normal diet for the past few days, trade in my birkenstock sandals for a pair of chippewa lineman's boots, and get back to to the grind.  But first  Coffee and some ramblings!

I made a pre-dawn commando style raid on walmart this morning,  I was out of coffee!  While on the raid this song by Little Feat was cued up on CD.  Bill's River Blues )  It's one of those songs I can't hear enough times.  I really dig the lyrics, plus the simple arrangement of Piano/Guitar/Fiddle is really pretty.

Now for something completely different )

For [livejournal.com profile] sharkbait and [livejournal.com profile] puck_nut, a Warren Haynes/Jimmy Buffett connection.  Both have recorded covers of songs by Jesse Winchester

I guess it's time to get ready for a day of fun and adventure at work today.  Whee!!!

Ouch!

I woke up with a backache this morning.  Not only would I kill for a backrub, I'd probably help get rid of the bodies...

First off,  Birthday Wishes going out to The one and only Dale Begley!   I'm sure [livejournal.com profile] puck_nut will pass these wishes on to him.  It seems like it was just yesterday when we were going on go-mart beer runs to rescue Sven from Becki.  Ahh the good ol days.

One of my coolest purchases from Cinci is a new dog toy for Rocky the Wonder Dog.  I thought I'd get a pic )

It's going to take a while to get back to the grind at work.  I started off today on sweep, but one of the guys had a problem in Greenup on a dangerous pole, so I gave him a hand.    It was on a pole next to Route 23,  with LOW power lines.  It sucks to work on it with a bucket truck, so I can't imagine using a ladder on it.  It's a bad location for equiptment for sure, but I try to not think about it when I'm working and just keep my eyes open and my wits about me.  Having fingers crossed helps too :)

My back's still a little sore, I guess that Post Concert Truth or Dare game got out of hand eh [livejournal.com profile] sharkbait?

I had some scrambled Eggs with Ass Kickin Roast Garlic hot sauce for breakfast, I noticed a real difference in the taste and texture of them since I cooked them on teflon rather than cast iron.  I was kinda disappointed with the hot sauce too, it didn't set me on fire.  oh well.

Tomorrow I'm going to be doing some PR work, putting a flag up for a school, and hopefully on to maintenance.   I'm heading back to Lewisburg to get Rocky the Wonder Dog, and coming back so I can be back for the Race on Sunday.  I'm off work Monday, but It's my turn on call.  I might work on getting my live show collection into something that resembles order, that is unless someone lures me away for coffee somewhere.

It's almost bedtime for bonzo, so I'm going to call it a night
