Work the past few days has pretty much been routine, maintenance, some construction yesterday, and about 4 1/2 hours ot so far this week.

I actually did freeze my ass of yesterday while flagging traffic, but I was on maintenance yesterday so I paced myself the rest of the day. I was going to go to the gym, but had to go back to South Point because of a safety issue with a house being improperly grounded. After taking care of that, it was back here then to Wendy's and the store for lottery tickets. I came back and watched a bit of hockey while texting and later chatting with sharkbait on ICQ until I started dozing off at the computer, then it was to bed.

Weather is going to be in the 60s today and tomorrow, go figure...

it's been an exasperatin day....

I was on service today, after finding the house I was checking everything out, the customer was actually surprised that I took a test meter in. It was one of the customers that people had been to numerous times without fixing the problem. I check signal behind the TV and it's in the dirt, it's smokin outside so I replace the line from the box to the splitter and the splitter and everything is cool.

The next call I go to is a modem down, so I start checking signals and chase it back to where it's good, go through all the hoops, look around and it's squirrel damage. The construction crew breaks off from their project and head over along with eventually a couple of flaggers and in 2 1/2 hours we have about 700 ft of mainline pulled out and cut in.

I've been slacking on trips to the Gym, but I was fairly active at work today, dragging a ladder around and doing a low crawl through a crawlspace, although I didn't look as good as Catherine Zeta Jones did on the trailer for that movie "Entrapment"


On a sad note.. RIP Wilson Pickett
