Saturday morning wrap up!
Aug. 5th, 2006 09:39 amI had every intention of sleepin in this morning, but since I totally conked out at about 9:15 last night, I was wide awake at 5 AM, so I checked email etc, laid back down for a while, got up,paid some bills and chatted with
sharkbait via ICQ before venturing out for some breakfast. Since I don't want to damage my regular status at Bob Evans I stopped in, had Pot Roast Hash with a side of grits, and LOTS of Coffee!
Not a lot else so far today, so here's ( my horriblescope! ) Sounds pretty reassuring, guess I'd better work on my plan of attack!, or maybe I've already got a plan of attack in operation!
I'm listening to a Little Feat show from a couple of years ago, this one's gettin downloaded. I love it when they throw in "Tennesee Jed" in with "Dixie Chicken". They must have been really feelin the groove at this show. Oh!! and "Tripe Face Boogie" is really smokin too!
guess I'd better wrap this wrap up up, I've got rails to build, glassware to send back, and who knows what else. Oh and my master plan of attack! Muah hah hah hah! I'll have that James Bond Evildoer stronghold any day now! Complete with a tank full of dangerous Northern Pike and Walleyes complete with laserbeams on their heads! FEAR ME!!!!!

Aug. 5th, 2006 12:16 pmI have shipped the broken Magnum "Pint" glasses back for replacement, got some lumber at Lowes (or.. heh heh I got wood huh huh yeah wood is cool!), and picked up a cigar and a 6 pack to enjoy while commencing with my project.
But first, another trip out to get tonight's powerball ticket, and to find a good source for some Northern Pike and Walleye!

a retraction...
Aug. 5th, 2006 01:56 pmThe other day I did a meme swiped from
sharkbait, for the letter "B" it said Beer of Choice. Let me add to that list, various Leinenkugels brews including "Big Butt Dopplebock", "Red", "Apple Spice", the beer that they sell at "Cheeseburger in Paradise Restaurants", under the heading of "Island Ale", and now let the record show that one of my beers of choice is "Leinenkugel's Creamy Dark Lager", and
sharkbait, it reminds me a LOT of the now discontinued Michelob Classic Dark, the beer that led me to the Dark Side so to speak so many years ago. If anyone is interested maybe I'll tell the story. or I could just sip on this beer and go back to work on my back stoop.
I almost forgot this!
remember a couple of weeks ago when a customer gave me her email address? Today I stop by a local bakery to pick up a loaf of Jalepeno Bread and she works there as a cake decorator! I'd better be careful the next time I stop in for some donuts......

Aug. 5th, 2006 11:28 pmA Saturday Night on the ( Balcony )
I felt like I had been neglecting my 12 string, so I grabbed a beer, a cigar and a couple of transcriptions to songs I've been messing with. "Painted Silver Light" sounds good on a 12 string even with me playing it. After I felt good with that, I broke out "Willin" and played around with the chords and some of the melody until my fingers were sore enough, then I finished the beer and cigar and contemplated the universe.
While I was out today I saw a sign I want to get a picture of, I'm going back to Lowe's tomorrow so hopefully it will be out. I was very amused by it. But then I'm easily amused!
now as requested by
sharkbait, the story of how I came over to the dark side of beer....
15 years or so ago, I was at a jazz concert at Carnegie Hall in Lewisburg, I was sitting in the auditorium when my cousin Delton showed up, we were both there because we had free tickets. Delton was a very prominant regional musician at the time, and he was friends with the soundman who stopped by to tell us about the free beer and food downstairs. Prior to this the only beer I had consumed was a couple of cans of Budwieser given to me by another cousin when we were helping someone move furniture. The beers at this event were all Michelob products, and since I was underage at the time, I stealthily grabbed a beer out while noone was looking. It turned out to be a Michelob Classic Dark. I tried it and was really surprised with how smooth and flavorful it was. It was enough to hook me on the darker beers.
and now, tomorrow's horriblescope! ( wheeee )
