This guy was on the radio the other morning, worth checking out, old school bluesman Mac Arnold. He plays a guitar made from an old gas can, doesn't get much more old school than that!

kind of an uneventful morning, got Rocky some Hellhound Chow, went to Bob Evans for breakfast and now I'm home.

As a fan of classic rock, I gotta say I'll be glad when September, I mean Zepp-tember is over. Nothing against Zeppelin, but c'mon enough is enough. The bad thing is there's another classic rock station in the area that isn't officially observing Zepptember, but they are playing Led Zep almost as much. When I win the powerball drawing this weekend and start my own classic rock station, I'll have a Zeplesstember, or maybe to boost my ratings how about... Lepp-tember! In fact, why should September be singled out? Here's more ideas behind a cut )

ok, that took way too much effort this morning!

now to go find something productive to do today

I ventured back out to Krogers and got a few provisions, then went to the ABC and picked up a 6 pack of Leinenkugel's Oktoberfest Lager, a bottle of Stone Brewing IPA, a racking cane and a section of hose. Lottery ticket for tonight has been acquired and now back to domestic stuff.

Go me!

egads!

I'm glad I'm not a fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide. Wowk TV is showing a half hour of their game today, only to cut to the Marshall Fumbling nerds getting bitch slapped by the Vols today.

You Belong in the UK

Blimey!
A little proper, a little saucy.
You're so witty and charming...
No one notices your curry breath

You Belong in Spring

Optimistic, lively, and almost always happy with the world...
You can truly appreciate the blooming nature of spring.
Whether you're planting flowers or dyeing Easter eggs, spring is definitely your season!

The Vols aren't bitch slappin the herd after all, it's ending up being a decent game after all. Plus it's raining there. The way football is supposed to be played!

As I requested in the subject of my last post, [livejournal.com profile] sharkbait provided me with some hot sauce from NOLA, and a couple of cigars. Thanks! I'll be sure to give you a full report on the hot sauce. I was kinda iffy about going out this evening, but dammit, my goatee looked good so I couldn't stay in! ) Not to mention good beer, great food, and even better company at Ruby Tuesdays, with [livejournal.com profile] sharkbait, [livejournal.com profile] whiskeyjenny, Jenny's Mom, and Tanner. I had a steak/coconut shrimp combo and a couple of beers, including a shiner bock, which made me want to sing some Robert Earl Keen, in fact I am now! (arent you glad I'm not phone posting a REK singalong?), and also a Samuel Adams.

After dinner I came home to open my Stone IPA ), very hoppy, with citrus/pine flavors. After this I'll probably go to bed.

I've got a load of laundry that needs folded so that I can go to bed first, so I'll be on that for a bit. wheee
