Nov. 18th, 2004 06:58 amAfter last night's cheeseburger binge, I am pleased to report that despite the fearmongering tactics of those who know what's best for us, I did not suddenly gain 300 pounds, nor did I have a heart attack.
On the topic of health, they started a "wellness challenge" program at work, I find it pretty funny since over the past year, I've lost about 50 pounds, the dispatcher's lost 15, and our construction foreman quit smoking cold turkey (after probably smoking for maybe 40 years). If only they'd of started it months ago...
Here's my horriblescope for This could be a challenging day for maintaining peace with your loved ones, PHILLIP. At home, your kids could be full of some heightened energy, and they could be having lots of noisy disagreements. Your spouse might be overwhelmed by the situation and may have concerns of her own to deal with. Try to be a peacemaker and find ways to cheer everybody up. You'll need to use some humor and some distraction to help people to be more positive.
I'll be running amuck in New Orleans this weekend so my weekly feature of "What the @#$! is he listening to now?" will be posted Monday. I do have a special Zevon Friday post already picked out for tomorrow, in honor of
quartercon. Stay tuned for details.
I've been on a Commander Cody and the Lost Planet Airmen kick lately, maybe that will be the featured artist for the week. Hmmm
Who knows, to use a phrase I've heard a lot in my days in the workplace "I'll do something, even if it is wrong!"
