Rocky the Wonderdog is back, his spirits are still good, but he's a bit aggravated that he can't get around like he could before.  

I still haven't done my thrilling recount of quartercon, actually I'll do a thrilling recount of my trip back, since we all know what happens in NOLA stays in Nola.  There were a couple of oddities that I noticed, before leaving I heard "Fly By Night" by Rush twice back to back on two different stations. The other odditie I noticed was that since I was staying at the Marriot the first night, I had the line from Warren Zevon's "My Ride's Here" stuck in my head the next day("I was staying at the Marriot, with Jesus and John Wayne, I was waiting for a chariot, they were waiting on the train").   Out in front of the Marriot was a taxi with an sign on top with an ad for a medicine, part of the ad read "Your Ride's Here". 

The company got us turkeys again this year, I picked mine up from Walmart today, mine weighs in at 20 pounds.  I hope it will fit into the smoker.  Hell, I hope I get it thawed out over the next few days.
