Let's see...  Today at work I helped the construction crew with replacing the damaged cable I found the other day.  There were a couple of places where a little wated had gotten in and started to corrode the line.  With the help of a kitten and a deranged Golden Retriever mix (gotta have comic relief!), we got the line replaced and cut in in about 4 hours.  Then it was back to the office where I was given a "simple" job along with one of the construction guys.  We changed out a tap, and cut in a new one (thankfully I could reach it with my truck), and then got to use the new toy to get a string through a conduit.  The new toy is pretty much a  modified shop vac that sucks and blows (kinda like Mega-Maid),  we got the string in the conduit and pulled about 275 feet of RG-6 co-ax thru it.  That took care of the day.

I went to the Bev center and picked up some stuff to make some beer, I'm waiting on it to cool down enough to pitch the yeast and then I'm going to bed.  I'm taking a bevy of sleepy nurses, including [livejournal.com profile] sharkbait,  to IHOP in about 6 hours.  The four year old son of one of the nurses is going too,  I guess I'll get to be a positive role model in the AM.  Either that or it will be like when they bring in prisoners to the schools to talk to the kids.  "Be careful or this could happen to you!"

I've been listening to a lot of Dixie Dregs lately, getting psyched up for their show next week.  I've been trying to catch one of their shows for about 10 years or so now.  So what if their drummed played for Winger.  I'm sure that Winger paid better than being in the Dregs.  Not to mention he probably didn't have the day jobs that the rest had to fall back on (Airline Pilot, Software Engineer, or MD)

I finally sat down to watch "Napoleon Dynamite" this evening, it was pretty amusing.  I really liked the "Pedro" character.   Don't worry [livejournal.com profile] sharkbait, I won't get obsessed with it. :)

Mucho good vibes are going out to [livejournal.com profile] puck_nut  and my "niece" Sia who has been diagnosed with Feline Cardiomyopathy
