1:30 to go....
Mar. 26th, 2005 08:58 amIt's time for the annual madhouse called "Buffett Ticket Sale Day". Ordering online is a lot better than standing in line at Kroger's. I'm inside where it's warm, drinking a cup of Sumatran coffee and having some most excellent pastries from a local bakery.
Anyone out there catch the highlights from the golf tournament where Els shot went wide, and landed in the lunch of one of the spectators? I caught it on ESPN this morning, I found it pretty amusing. Why was I watching ESPN on a Saturday morning on a weekend? Hey, thanks to WVU, West Virginia is in the news, and it's not a Powerball winner who is in constant trouble, A dancing Outlaw, Neo-Nazis, Flesh Eating Zombies (filmed in Canada), or for that matter even the Mothman (filmed in Kittaning, PA).
In some rather sad news,
puck_nut's kitty and my "niece" Sia was diagnosed with lymphatic cancer this week. I'll really miss Sia.
Also, Rod Price, founding member of Foghat, passed away this week from head injury caused by falling down a flight of stairs. I remember Mom driving me to school, in her Chevy Nova, with "Slow Ride" and "Fool for the City" crankin out the speakers.... Ah childhood memories.. Ya know, that would explain a lot. Such as my suspicion of songs that are under 5 minutes long... Hmm maybe some more research will be in order.
I'd better cut this short. I'm running a shuttle from the Ranch to Walmart so that
sharkbait and
puck_nut can go on their merry way to Cinci. I packed a care package for Sharky. a few of my last batch of beers, plus a couple of Leinenkugel's Red so that she can do a comparison on if it's the same as the Island Ale that they serve at Cheeseburger in Paradise.
