The Funny Bone

I went to the new comedy club this evening, its one of a chain of clubs called The Funny Bone.  First off the place is kinda cramped during a sellout show, which I assume tonight was, and the service was kinda mediocre, but my main reason for going was not to eat, but to laugh my ass off, which I did.  First up was Odyssey, who also MCd the show.  He was great, and since he's employed by the chain, chances are he'll be in town again.  Next up was a comic from Cleveland who unfortunately I didn't catch her name, but she was great as well.

Up next was Mr Tim Wilson, for those who have never seen him before, he is great, but don't sit up front unless you want to be messed with.  For half the show he was tormenting the people up front.   Someone made the mistake of yelling "Get R Done", and Tim was cracking on the guy who said it and Larry the Cable guy for the remainder of the evening.    Tim's response was "That's like going to a Marshal Tucker Band Show and yelling for Freebird".   Tim's portion of the show ended with him singing some songs including "Church League Softball Fistfight", "First Baptist Bar and Grill", and "Acid Country", with commentary for the 25 year old up front that "Didn't know Shit!"

It was a pretty good time, except for getting out of the place which was like being a mouse in a maze.  I'm looking forward to seeing some of the comedians they have slated for upcoming months, but will probably eat at BW3 or The Beanery before going to the show, also if there are fewer than four in a party they will seat other people at your table if the place is full.

On the way home I picked up some Ice Cream, a new flavor from Ben and Jerry's called "The Gobfather, a flavor you can't refuse",  and they were right, I couldn't refuse it!

sharkbait just called, she and puck_nut are heading back to NJ and then tomorrow heading back to WBGV and Kentucky after the first leg of Lepp Trek....

You might feel a conflict between the need for power and the need to share power, PHILLIP. Part of you might want to assume center stage right now. Perhaps there is an exciting project you're involved with, and you want to be a key part of things - perhaps the key. Just remember that others can be an important asset. Focus on working together as a team.
