First off, RIP to Syd Barrett.

Work today was another thrilling day of Customer Service. The first call of the day was one I'd been to yesterday but noone was home, I ended up changing their modem, then it was off to another call to get their digital box that had been unhooked for 4 months working, but they didn't answer the door and their phone number wasn't valid, so I left a tag and went on my merry way. The next two were customer education, and then the big job. It was a call I'd been on yesterday, but nobody was home, so I got to go back today. I go up, ring the doorbell and have to fend off the dog with my test meter. Someone finally shows up, only it's not the owner of the house it's their babysitter, who doesn't know where the wiring is. So I have to go outside, with her having put the dog up (the dog is named Sweetie btw), I check all the signal etc, then go up the pole and find bad filters, so I think "Yeah!) I got it, so I go inside and the modem is still down, I end up having to bury a new line to the house, and of course, while I'm doing this about three different downpours hit. I finally finish around quitting time and hope I'll get to go home, but I get one more customer ed call and come home. I got all excited when I flipped over to VH1 to see Eddie Trunk interviewing Deep Purple's Roger Glover and Steve Morse. I think Eddie had some problems following Steve Morse's answers (For those playing at home, in the early 90s Steve Morse got pissed off at the music industry in general and got a job as a commercial airline pilot, so he's got it goin on upstairs), which I found amusing. I was hoping they would have showed some material from their newer releases, but instead they played the really cheesy remix of "Hush".

I grilled some steaks and now I'm still in the process of dryin off. The boots were much more comfortable today btw.

Thanks go out to [livejournal.com profile] sharkbait for posting pics from the aquarium trip today. Looks like you all had a blast!
