Work wasn't too bad today, I was on customer service all day, but I only had 4 actual calls, The first one was a problem with the digital channels, but It ended up being a bad amplifier module, after I tracked it down it took a couple of minutes to fix, then I had a call which was no problem upon arrival, but the customer was entertaining. He was giving me the details of a botched elbow operation he had, interrupted by a call from the parole officer. Then it was off to Boyd County to check a modem, and then to Greenup to swap out a digital box, followed by driving all over a backroad trying to find a place to disconnect their HBO and pick up their digital boxes.

I saw a fuse explode on a powerline today, lightning hit at what looked like a mile or so down the road and at the same time it exploded. So remember folks, Just because lightning strikes a ways off, it is still dangerous.

I helped one of the installers with a couple of calls and got home about 6:30 or so, spoke telephonically with sharkbait as they were headed out. Then I headed out to Bob Evans for a bowl of soup and a salad. Now I'm back and letting the weekend begin. I'd have a beer, but dinner about did me in. The Cobb Salad at Bob Evans is HUGE.
