he was played on a college radio station out of Blacksburg/Roanoke or somewhere VA that I could pick up from time to time.

-What is a good memory concerning 8?
Probably when I saw them at the Appalachain Uprising a few years ago, they were really having a good time and it showed in their playing. The crowd of drunk hippies and rednecks were very appreciative of them. Probably the high point was when Tony Rice joined them and people were yelling requests, and finally somebody yelled "Play whatever ya want, it'll sound good!"
