Humpday Odds and Ends Round Up

captain_philAfter two days of doing house counts at work it was back to system maintenance today, I managed to get 13 amps swept, help out with a problem in Kenova, and help a customer get her new TV set up so she only needed one remote to operate everything. She told me the reason her TV was replaced was a firearms accident, normally I would have told the customer to have called in, but if the customer is nice when asking, I'll make an exception. This one also netted a good story so
She was telling me that someone tried to break into her house a while back, so she said she went through the "who's there", and "I have a gun", she said when she cocked the gun her finger barely hit the trigger and it went off. I asked what kind of gun it was, I have a very limited knowledge of handguns, so this isn't totally greek to me, but it was a 40 caliber and she was using hollow point shells in it. Based on what I do know, that's a bit too much firepower to be in the hands of someone unfamiliar with one. There was a repaired bullet hole in the side of her house next to her door.
Also in the "Only in Wayne County WV" category, my co-worker whose house was hit by a car said the insurance company is going to pay off his house. Is it just me or isn't it odd to have a house totalled by a car? To beat it all, the driver was uninjured and drove off on three wheels.
I have a major algae problem in my pool now, I dumped three pounds of shock in it, along with some algaecide, I have some more chemicals to dump in tomorrow morning before I go to work.
I'm working out the details of catching the Little Feat show at Snowshoe this year, Lodging is going to be a problem, it's either pay $138 for a room at Snowshoe, go to Elkins for a room, drive back to Lewisburg after the show, or sleep in my Blazer.
Of course, I could always load up a bunch of Feat CDs and crank it up here at the Ranch, but that wouldn't result in any horror stories, and where's the fun in that?
