Jun. 24th, 2004 09:11 pmCheckbook has been balanced, pool has been swept, and the Bolivar Fuerte Cigar is lit (for now)
I've been battling an algae problem in my pool for about a week or so, This afternoon I realized one thing I was doing wrong, Instead of draining off the dead algae I was just letting it run back into the pool. This evening I ran water from the garden hose into the pool when I vacuumed it out. Hopefully that will take care of it.
I've got an appointment with the Dr about my recurring elbow pain, or course, right now, my elbow feels fine.
"Lakeside Park" by Rush just came on, I'm kinda reliving my misspent youth right now. I remember when I first became a fan, The Greenbrier County Library had a copy of "Moving Pictures", I'd heard "Tom Sawyer" a few times, so I checked out the tape. I really liked it, but it was a few years later when I heard "Freewill" on a crackly radio station out of Blacksburg VA when I became hooked for life. Here I am 16 year later learning flatpick guitar, and thinking "Ya know, Geddy's bass runs in "YYZ" would work on "Beaumont Rag". The Principals of Bruce Lee's Jeet Keen Do surface "Research Your Own Experiences, Absorb what is useful, reject what is useless, and add what is specifically your own"
Didn't think ya'd get a philosophy lesson from reading this eh?
well the cigars finished, so I guess it's almost time to wrap it up for the evening
