I went to my first officla GHHA meeting last night, although the only actual meeting stuff was just organizing the BJCP class, the rest was tasting beer, eating, and talking about brewing and homebrewing mishaps. The only hey ya'll watch this mishap I heard was about a couple of guys in Ohio who were going to use a lit sulfur strip to sterilize a bourbon barrel. Lit sulfur strips and alcohol fumes don't mix. The guy lowering the strip got third degree burns on his hand, and the other guy got his leg hairs scorched. OUCH!! Someone brought in some Hop Tea and we sampled three different kinds, Fuggles, Hallertau, and one kind that was supposed to be Cascade, but everyone more knowledgeable than me on the flavors of the different hops didnt think it was Cascade.

I went to Walmart this morning and looked at their selection of Halloween costumes, I was very amused at the "Lazy Guy" mask. No folks, Im not making that up. It was a mask of a guy wearing a baseball cap. sheesh I also saw a "Pink Girl Ninja" costume, which I don't really get since it didn't look very "Ninja-ish" at all. Oh well.

I did get a cool collapseable cooler at Walmart this morning, and a new toy for Rocky, so it was a productive morning.
