The evening post
Feb. 24th, 2008 12:28 amI brewed my wee heavy ale this evening, while the wort was cooling I was watching Austin City Limits, they were having a blues show with a singer from a band I'd almost forgotten about from the late 80s. Omar and the Howlers, here's a video for their song "Hard Times in the Land of Plenty".
I had to estimate my Original Gravity since it was off the scale on my Hydrometer. I think I should look into getting one for higher gravity ales, since that's how I roll. And I have more steps in my brewing than Budwieser does (according to their commercial), but mine includes putting on a Fidel Castro hat backwards, ordering a pizza, and drinking a beer(or two), along with all the standard steps.
I'm going to call it a night, since unfortunately one of my brewing steps includes clean up (I hope that's not included in the Great American Lager's 7 step process, because that will put me one or two steps ahead of them!)
