Little Feat's upcoming "Join the Band" featuring an all star cast is available for preorder, and samples of the songs are available. So far I'm most impressed with Dave Matthews and Sonny Landreth on "Fat Man in the Bathtub", Bob Seger on "Something in the Water", Vince Gill on "Dixie Chicken", Jimmy Buffett sounds great on "Champion of the World", and "Time Loves a Hero"(with Coral Reefer Band members Michael Utley, Robert Greenidge, and Ralph MacDonald joining in).
I'm totally floored by Brooks and Dunn singing on "Willin". Who knows, this one might go places on the charts.
Sam Bush lends a hand on a couple of tracks, I'm sure him and Fred discussed agricultural products in between takes, and Mac McAnally (singer/songwriter/producer/Coral Reefer Band Member) plays guitar and sings on just about all the tracks.
The Trip to Cinci was fun, we hit Booze R Us first off where we ran into
whiskeyjenny,
sharkbait,
sb_pyrat, Josh, and a couple of new recruits, and then a little later
puck_nut and
weaselwv showed up with the portapotty in tow.

weaselwv and myself hit Rock Bottom for some food and drink and then headed for the RRI, this year there wasn't any waterboarding involved. We got settled in and went to Cheeseburger in Paradise where food and drink were consumed once again. Then it was a trip to walmart and back to the RRI.
They opened the lot a bit earlier than last year, and we had the opening shot at just a tad after noon. I'd picked up a growler of Three Philopsophers and worked on it most of the early part of the tailgating before switching over to Sam Adams, and then switching over to Gatorade and Water (It was too hot to work on getting a buzz).
yourbasketbuddy and I headed back a bit early and if it wasn't for hitting a traffic backup on I-75 Southbound we would have been back in Frankfort in time to of listened to the entire webcast of the show, but we only missed maybe 5 or 6 songs. We still got to hear more than most of the people on the lawn at Riverbend got to hear. They really need to do something about the sound system, maybe they could hit Skyline Chili up to sponsor the PA for the lawn people.
The Columbus Blue Jackets Schedule is up for the upcoming season, it looks like there are a few games I might actually be able to attend. I'd like to find a reason to venture up there so I can stop off at Barley's to try their new Frambwha? It looks very interesting.
